Security
SPS offers a number of built-in security benefits, which are of growing importance in light of today's heightened security environment.
Built-in blast and ballistics resistance are two such features. SPS structures naturally resist crack propagation, have fewer impact sensitive connection details and are able to absorb greater loads through plastification thus transfering less load to the primary structure. SPS stops projectiles at shorter strike ranges and higher attack angles than steel plate.
Unlike normal protection which is added around areas of high risk, SPS offers built-in protection across the entire structure. Furthermore as the 'protection' is naturally embedded between the two face plates, a structure is more likely to survive a major event.
